how do i put vcd's on to dvd disc? what software is needed?

Assuming you have the VCD files in DAT format, first convert them to MPEG-1 (VCD) with TMPGEnc's MPEG Tools. Second, load those MPEG-1 files into TMPGEnc DVD Author and author them to DVD format, adding menus if desired. Third, burn the result with Nero. You can skip step one if your VCD files are already MPEG-1. Also, please keep in mind that TMPGEnc and TMPGEnc DVD Author are different programs. For better menu options, try using DVD Lab.

The above method will create a DVD that will play in a stand alone DVD player. On the other hand, if you just want to store your VCD files as data files, then simple burn them to a data DVD.
