    Chapters in VCD

I tried to make "chapters" on VCD by adding multiple .mpg files to my VCD disk. This works great but while playing the VCD, there is a slight "jerk" in the video when it switches.mpg files.

Is this the right way to make "chapters" or is there another technique?

    Hello!

No, splitting the mpg if more files is not the right way. I once tried to make them but the program didn't liked my cd-writer.

You have to use EasyVCD. You can find more information on www.vcd.help.com . You also van download the program there.
You have to select the option on top to get all the tabs. In one of the tabs you'll see something about chapters. There are different choices: a chapter every minute (you can choose), or you can insert your chapters manually (frames or time).

It seemed quite good when I tried but unfortunately the program refused my cd-witer to burn.

(Remarque: it's nog possible to add chapters with a program like Nero. Nero can burn your VCD but there are NO options and that' a negative point of the German burner.)

    Good luck!

i do it the way gomes does it in nero and i have no problems except for the very end of the last vid so i now put 10 secs black video to stop that..also to gomes..after you put your files into nero..before burning..highlight the files and right click and choose properties and make sure that where it says "pause after track"..near the bottom...make sure it says "0"
seconds except for the menu page ..it should be "infinite"...
i am gonna try simon t's way also.

To johnbmx4christ: You're right, I also use Nero but the one and only problem is the fact you can't burn chapters. If Nero brings out a version with chapters it would be the best burning program since mankind!
