    TMPGec

does any one know what the message MPEg 2 trial version has expired means in the program............
I am guessing that it will not let me encode in super VCD that uses MPEG 2
If thats the case does anyone know a fix for it or can you recommend a substitute program

    Thanks

TMPGenc is a freeware utility but the MPEG2 encoding part of the program has a shareware timer on it - so that after a certain amount of uses/certain amount of time it will no longer work and you will have to register the product.

If you looking to encode into MPEG2 I suggest using FlaskMPEG v0.6 - its always worked for me.

Just out of interest, why are you encoding a VCD in MPEG2? Are you planning on creating a SVCD?

Sorry, I didn't realise you wanted to convert from AVI. In that case I suggest you look here http://www.digital-digest.com/dvd/do...ncoding_2.html for a suitable program to convert the file, you can try loads and then give feedback on them if you want.

The best one to try would be "bbMPEG" which is the first program listed on that page under the heading "AVI <-> MPEG-1/2".
