subtitles on VCD?

can i create a VCD with subtitles on it? so when i play on my DVD standalone player i can c the movie with the subtitles?

if i can, what should i use to do that? where do i get it?

if you use FlaskMpeg v0.594 and use the "open DVD" feature, you can select the desired subtitle in the first window that pops up... It's not a 100% though, on some titles the subtitles did'nt show... But it usually works fine...
