    CD-R and CD-RW quality test

    Hi all,

Nothing in the IT world is more frustrating than the unreadable important backups , is my opinion.
I had some backup CD-Rs which cannot be playback anymore.
These were recorded less than 6 mnths ago! Some are (were) data and some VCDs. Also some avi and mpg backups.

That's why I want to get some really good recordable CDs.
It may cost more but my data is (also emotionally) unreplacable.

I would like to know which brand you guys using and what are the better brands. I know that the rec. speed may varies within one same brand, so plz specify speed.

Are there any sites consisting tests of CR-R and CD-RWs?

    Thanks a lot.

Verbatim's are supposedly good. High quality cd's are supposed to last up to 120 years.
