hi all tried using virtualdub too cut a avi file down followed all instruction started at begining marked in moved slider mark out save avi mark in then out again where left off but it still does all movie without cutting i want to cut the beginning of help

If you want to cut from the beginning:
load the file in vdub (nandub is audio is vbr).
move slider to start of cutting - mark with beginning
move slider to end of cutting - mark with end
select delete from the edit menu.
Now that section has been deleted. Make sure direct stream copy is selected on BOTH audio and video menus and then save the avi with another name (otherwise it will overwrite the original)
