Hi there,
I've got 2 subjects to discuss here,
1. I've encoded many films with dvd2svcd and most of them are really good, with a good image and sound. But I've also encoded many concerts, like Stevie Ray V. Live, G3 Live, Eagles... And in every concert the sound and the image seem great, but, every time there is a close up or every time that there are bright colours the image gets really bad with huge pixls and then returns back to normal. There are parts when it gets bad for no apearent reason (ex. in the Alice in Chains Unplugged every time they show the drummer the image is bad...?!?!?!)
Can any one understand this?
2. Secondly, regarding the aspi drivers. When I installed the latest dvd2svcd in my PC a friend of mine told me I had to install the aspi drivers to get it going. So I did. Until then I allways used dvdx2 w/ smart ripper and never had no problems. When I installed the aspi problems started. It took ages to rip a dvd both in dvd2svcd and smart ripper. Finally I managed to solve the situation (still not sure how...). But recenty I had to format my pc and when I installed all again I didn't install the aspi and dvd2svcd works great and rips the dvd at fullspeed. The only thing is that appears an error message when I press the button to recognize the dvd, but if I close it every thing goes to normal. Can any one explain this to me too?
Thanks a lot
