If the number of audio frames is virtually identical to (or less than) the number of video frames, this is indicative of CBR-.MP3.

VBR-.MP3 usually results in 1 1/2 to 2 times as many audio frames vs. video frames.

By the way, it would be much "cleaner" if you posted your question as a new thread, rather than tacking it on to an already existing (and not yet resolved) one...

Sorry bout that...

It's just that when I place a post in certain sections here, it can get unrecognized for days, weeks, and there seems to be more traffic here. This 'what to do about the tag2000' thing has been an overwhelming issue for some time now. Both for playback and encoding.
