    AVI 2 VCD with sound gliches

    I use TMPGENC to encode avi to vcd so i can watch them on a stand alone. However, I get these annoying gliches in the sound as a result.

    Do I have the settings wrong or is it just the app itself?

    "Do I have the settings wrong or is it just the app itself?"

    It would be beneficial if you actually stated whar settings you've used, don't you think?

    (For a conforming VCD, the SUM of the video and audio bitrates should equal 1,374Kbps - e.g. video 1,150 Kbps plus audio 224 Kbps. Additionally, make certain to set the audio to a sampling rate of 44,100Hz and NOT 48,000 Hz, as MANY standalone players stutter with 48,000Hz audio on VCDs)

        Congratulations on resolving your dilemma ;>}

        "the settings i use are correct as i load automatic pal settings..."

        Just curious then, why would you ask, ""Do I have the settings wrong?"...

          whatever...if u have nothing construction to say, why waste yer bandwidth replying?

          i understand the settings required to make a pal vcd...if they are wrong nero tells you anyway...

          if u load pal settings in TMPGENC, it is also possible to hit the 'settings' tab for MORE settings for video & audio...specifically these are 'channel mode', 'emphasis', plus a bunch of boxes to tick (or not)

          as i already sed, i get gliches in the audio when using TMPGENC...i was hoping maybe someone else had the same problem in the past & could enlighten me on why...maybe the problem is to do with the TMPGENC audio encoder...or the version i have...or maybe if i converted from a .wav file instead of an mp3 i would not get the gliches...

          i have always found this forum helpful in the past...thank you

            Setarip is always synical here. He might think that he needs working with some attention. Just forgive hem. He sometimes offer good answers too.

            I think the sound glitches has to do with your files in the Harddisk and the speed to record the mpg file.
            Try to defragment your harddisk. Close other applications like virus check, fiewall etc. Do not play an audio CD also when you are running TMPGenc.
