    Need help with VCD

I've used the Panasonic MPEG1 Encoder. I have encoded mpegs to Mpeg one with 29.9FPS and 352x240 Resolution in VCD/NTSC Stream and after 3 hours it finally finishes. Then i open nero 5.5 click VCD, Select NTSC, Disk at once. and burn it at 2x. Once it finishes my dvd player says it cant read the disk. The DVD player is a newer Toshiba and supports VCD playback. ANy idea or better idea's how to get this to work for me? Please help! Thanks!

Conventional dvd players are "finicky" over home made vcd/svcd cd-r playback. You may want to try another brand of cd-r's or cd-rw's. Vcdhelp.com may have some helpful tips.

A newer Toshiba... hmm... is it a SD-220E? Those play everything you throw at it! I haven't found any cds it won't play yet! noname, dirty, beaten, old, fast burned etc.
Even X(S)VCD up to 5300kbits wich is far more than anyone use.

Does the VCD play on your computer? If it doesn't we found the problem!
Just tell me what DVD-player it is and I'll tell you what brands of CD-R it will play.
