    sound skipping when encoding asf

I have been trying to convert an asf file using tmpgenc but i keep having problems with the sound. The sound skips in and out after encoded but plays perfectly on the asf file. I tried to use v-dub on it and got asf has been removed at request of microsoft. does anyone have any ideas on how I can fix this sound problem?

Download VirtualDub v.1.3C from DivX Digest (link at the top of this page. That older version accepts .ASF for input...

One quick question setarip if u are around do I need to uninstall the later versions of v-dub before installing 1.3c? and is there a particular way to encode this asf? can v-dub save it as an avi?....well i guess thats 3 questions lol

p.s. i found out how to convert to avi from asf but still need to know if i need to uninstall newer versions of v-dub and if there are any particular settings i need to change in audio.
