The problem i am having is when i start the conversion it converts the video but no audio and i have set it to system video/audio.

If the audiostream of the .AVI is Variable Bit Rate (VBR) .MP3, TMPGE will not accept it for processing...

      Had the same problem

      Yo dude,
I had the same problem, so i was looking at the forum, and fortunately noticed a solution:

Get VirtualDub and open ur .avi file in that program, then select "save wav" from the file tab and type the file name of what u wanna call it (preferaly the same name) but REMEMBER to write ".wav" at the end of the file name.
Hope this helps, did for me

          "or read error at P3package.dll"

have you installed the REQUIRED companion VFAPI plugin?

                      Two points:

                      1) If you're using a valid version of 2.58, the error should refer to "P4package.dll" and not "P3package.dll

                      2) The first valid version of TMPGEnc to include the VFAPI file in the download was v.2.59

have you doubleclicked on the VFAPI installation batch file (.BAT extender) to install it?

Included in your v.2.58 download, there should be a file named "TMPGEncVFP_Install.bat"

(In the v.2.59 package, it gets installed automatically)
