Anime TSC to Pal with sub

I have a problem with converting an anime NTSC DVD (namely Escaflowne) to Pal SVCD with subs. Could someone tell me, going into specific settings, how this is acomplished, without having timelength errors and flickering? My usual tools are SmartRipper, DVD2AVI and TMPGEnc Plus, but i have used others as well. I have never dealt with NTSC before, so i am at a loss.

    tnx

When you write "without having timelength errors and flickering" do you mean that you already tried converting the dvd and that you indeed did get flickering? IF you are used to ripping and converting dvds, then i wouldnt imagine you would have a problem, and for TMPGenc, simply load up the movie file (.avi i presume since you rip with the programs you mentioned) and convert it to PAL SVCD. Make sure to see if the sound is there, because sometimes you have to load up the file in VirtualDub and select "Save WAV" to also process the sound with the avi file.
