Closed caption problem...

When I capture tv show that have closed captioned. and i burn it back into SVCD. when i play it back on dvd player, it plays the screen fine but without closed caption how do i correct or why? I am deaf i rely on that closed caption!

I believe that the closed captioning is transmitted as a non-recordable overlay similar to the one you see on your television screen when you initially turn on your VCR (e.g. "Stop" "EP Mode")

your video capture card must be able to record 720x486 in order to capture the VBI (line 21) where the captions reside.
