    AVI to Wav?*$&&*

    I have an AVI....... and I want to get it to VCD.... here are the specs...

    Video Codec.: XViD
    Video Format: 2Pass 808kbits/s
    Audio Codec.: MPEG1 AudioLayer3
    Audio Format: 135kbps VBR,48kHz
    Aspect Ratio: 1.85:1
    Frame Size..: 576x320

    I am having major problems ripping the audio from this file....
    I am using Virtualdub and I get this error that says the requested audio compression is not compatible with the input format!

    I am opening the avi..
    Audio --> Full Proccessing mode
    Audio --> Conversion --> 44100 HZ
    File --> Save Wav
    ERROR!

    Any help?

    This happened to me once, and I had no idea why until i finally watched the movie on my computer. It turned out the video had a few corrupt frames, which messed up the audio track and didn't let me convert. I think that by cutting the movie you should be able to have success in extracting the audio.
    Did you know you can SEARCH the forum? Fixes common problems too:
