Does anybody know how to insert subtitles in a vcd made with the DVD2AVI and encoded with the tmpeg encoder?

Is the best way to do it.The sound and image come out very good.But with this method there is no option to subtitles.
Someone told me there is a way to do it with the virtualdub and a subtitle plugin,frameserving it into the tmpeg enco der.

Someone can help me with that ?
