    VCD or SVCD on PS2???

Hi I've read another question on the forum concerning the ps2 not able to read VCD cuz it had no MOD CHIP. Ok fine! Not cool but I'll deal with it.....for now So here come's my questions:

1- I want to put AVI anime movies on 80mins CD, so which program should I choose to make the conversion? I use NERO and I thought changing to TMPGENC??
2- Suppose I buy a mod chip, will I be able to play SVCD or I should stick with the VCD???

    Thanks alot!!

      1. If you want to put avi movies on a cd, then you simply create a "data-cd" and put the files on it. If, however you meant convert the avi into .mpg with TMPGenc, then load up TMPGenc and select either the vcd or svcd template.

      2. That depends on your PS2 model. Check around different websites about PS2/svcd's.
Did you know you can SEARCH the forum? Fixes common problems too:

Also search on the whole Digital-Digest website:

TMPGEnc does a consistently better job of converting files...
