video and sound out of sync

Hi, I encoded a movie with TMPGE, I used another program to extract the audio into a wave file(avi2mpeg), the result was satisfying but the audio is slightly out of sync. I couldn't use Virtualdub for some reason, anyways I believe the movie has a variable bitrate and I'm looking for some suggestions on what I may have done wrong and maybe find a solution.
    Help anyone???lol

I do have the same problem. In case I converted an AVI to MPEG1 to burn a VCD. Audio and VIDEO are out if sync.
    The AVI file is correct.

How do I solve this problem?

      Re : alwaysblue

      If VBR...

      1.Load file in VitualDub
2.Set Audio tab to Full Processing Mode
      3.Select Conversion 44,100Hz
4.Compression is set to Uncompressed PCM
      5.Save WAV...
6.Set Video tab to Direct Stream Copy
7.Set Audio tab to No Audio
      8.Save AVI...

Load silent .avi and .wav in TMPGEnc...

            It didn't work to me.

I used VirtualDub to create an AVI without Audio and a WAV file.
I created - using TMPGEnc - a MPEG file using the AVI and WAV file.

When I play back the MPEG file, Sound and Video still out of sync.

Is it possible to sync Audio and Video using TMPGEnc?

            Ho has the solution?
