Gordian Knot into TMPGenc = no sound

Ok.....I tired Gordian Knot for the 1st time and I must admit it looks damn good. Now when I goto make the .avi to a .mpg file to make a VCD using TMPGenc I get no sound. It also takes in upwards of 10 hours which is odd because every other conversion takes avg. of 2 hours. What the heck? Why no sound and why so long? Here is the file info for the avi needed converted. Thanx for any help u give.

Does the avi file contain VBR mp3?
If so, convert it to a wav file or CBR mp3 file.

Well i used the guide from doom9.org. The audio was done using MP3, custom Parameters (Expert) option in GK. These are the settings:

ok....i must be a shmuck. I tried to full process the audio in nandub using mp3 compression. Now I get no sound or video in the file. I direct stream copied the video. Can u help? Thanx.

Converting .AVIs with VBR-MP3 Audio

Simply use NanDub to save the audio stream as an Uncompressed PCM (WAV) file as follows:
Load your original .AVI into NanDub
Set "Video" to "Direct Stream Copy"
Set "Audio" to "Full Processing Mode"
From the "Audio" dropdown menu, select "Compression" - and choose "Uncompressed PCM (.WAV)"
From the "File" dropdown menu, select "Save WAV" (Enter a new filename with a ".WAV" extender).Click on "OK"
Then set "Video" to "Direct Stream Copying"
Then save the .AVI as a silent .AVI (set "Audio" to "No audio" after you've saved the WAV file).
Open TMPGEnc and "drag and drop" the silent .AVI onto it, then do the same with the .WAV file

Something is not working. I end up with a wav file only 1.08MB in size. It stops building the wav always after the opening of the movie producer emblem. I only see "No Compression PCM" so i chose that. I just don't get it?!?!? Is there a way in GK so that next time i can avoid all this confusion?

In GK do not select vbr, just cbr.

I figured it out. I had to use VirtualDUB. Thanx for the help...good to know people here can really help!!!
