tmpeg error 272

here I am again stumbling my way through! I have an avi with a couple of corrupt frames, while encoding with tmpegenc I get the message: INDEX of scan is out of range(272)? can anyone help? I'm not too worried about keeping the dodgy bit, can I just copy it anyway? Also, is there any way to recover the corrupt frames or are you stuck with it?

Some options:

Back up the file
-try resaving the file in virtualdub (audio and video set to "direct stream copy").
-or try cleaning it with virtualdub or removing the problematic frame
-or try divfix
