encoding avi files with 16x9 asspect ratio

A follow-on to my earlier post. I rewatched and rewatched the very early part of the file with the recompressed audio and I believe that the audio is now offset before the video glitch and fine after it, so I think that the glitch (which is probably about 1-2 sec.) is probably resposible for the audio pecularities.

To be able to get the right aspect ratio, try this as it worked for me. I had a wide screen (576x256) movie and wanted it to be wide screen on my pal tv.

TMPGen:
Pal vcd template

Advanced settings:

Source aspect ratio: 4:3 pal


Video arrange method: full screen (keep aspect ratio 2)576x256

Maybe this might be worth a try
