wow a sense of humor..lol...j/k....dvd r is a dvd that you can make your own dvd's with and you need a dvd burner...a cdr is a regular cd that you can put info on and need a cd burner...also (to setarip)out here dvdr's are only 5 bucks and cdr's are 5 cents.
