Encoder just wont do it!!!

Ok the problem im having is this....i have an avi file and i want to convert to vcd..thats no trouble except at frame 11250 it jams up...now i know that u can use avidefreezer and put in the frame range that ya want to fix but that wont work also tried divfix no luck or doesnt want to for me...have run it thru virtual dub and cut out the bit thats givin me grief but im ending up with audio sync probs as well...so all i am really afta is to be able to grab out 100 frames and and id be on my way....many thanks in advance....

Desync Problems

Well, I know nothing about the first problem there, but as to the audio desync problem:

Load VDub

Tools>Perefernces>AVI Tab

Check the last option there, the "do not correct MPEG-Layer 3 Streams"

That's the problem there, I'm betting. Give it another shot.
