Help need

hI THERE,
I want to put an hour of DV images in CDs, but with best possible quality ...I think its possible...
I´ve tried with vcd (mpg1) but its a bad image, then I try with MPG2 directly, I capture in MPEG2 and burn it on a CD-RW, the image is better but the size is bigest....so I call your experience to help me, ´cause the images that I have in digital camera are very good, very high quality.
What sholud I do?

Try an mpeg-4 based codec such as XVID or DIVX. Read the doom9.org guides on how to set up a good encode (and use the right settings).
