    AC3 codec missconfig/missing

I have an Xvid film with Wave_format_AC3 code: 0x2000, i have an AC3 codec and can play the film perfectly but when i try to uncompress the audio using VirtualDub 1.5.2 it says that i do not have the correct codec to decopress the source audio format. I then use GSpot to check if all codecs are available and it says that i am currently using two codec to uncompress the audio and that they are missconfigured. Can anyone please help me or find the correct codec,

    cheers,

Use VirtualDubMod instead. The "original"/pure versions of VirtualDub (authored by Avery Lee) are not capable of processing .AC3 audiostreams. VirtualDubMod IS capable of this...

I believe you've got to look for "Streams"...
