    .mpg-->,vcd.......quite choppy and framey ????

    I am very new to the .vcd concept and have only grasped the very basics so I beg you be patient and helpfull to me
    I have been getting some .mpegs and converting to .vcd. Most come out alright but some after I have burned them go a bit choppy and jerky. The footage is mountainbiking and it becomes more obvious during slow-mo scenes. I have no control over the quality of the .mpeg I download but after TMPGEnc it does get a little worse. Is there anything I can do with the .mpeg to smooth it out a bit because the .mpegs are a bit jerky before I start to convert them and is there any other software that will help during the conversion to a Nero (.vcd) burnable file.

    Also, how does the burn speed and cd-r quality affect the final product, although I know the issue is arising before I have burned the CD, it happens through TMPGEnc.

    All assistance appreciated.

    What version of tmpg are you using?Also the file itself might have corrupted data in it causing that jerkyness.

      Try playing the file on your computer (the one that you need to burn) but not on the CD (The file TMPGEnc gave you after encoding was done) and see if it plays alright.

      You need to burn a VCD at 8X or slower if possible.

      Please don't ask me why you have to do that because right now I am in a memory block lol but I know it will fix your problem
