divx to svcd

I am currently in the process of converting divx file to svcd using tmpgenc. It is takin around 10 hours and so far 3 hours have been done!!! I was wondering whether it was possible to view what has been done so far of the svcd in windows media player or some other player?

but if it comes out completley wrong (which it has done!), what a waste of time. is tmpgenc the best tool out there. im just following the instructions from divx-digest

If you have done your settings right. I would wait the remaining
7 hours. since you have waited 3 hours already

next time you could cut out 1 minute of your avi that you want
to convert (using virtual dub to cut) and then check your Tmpeg settings on that
