huh...what do u mean by that if the cd is only 700mb doesnt that mean it cant fit more than 700mb, am i missing sumthin here cuz it would sure cut down on the cd shortage"It's him"-

Mode1 = 700mb approx
Mode2 = 800mb approx
Mode2 uses the extra 100mb that Mode1 uses for error correction.
MPEG1/2 have their own error correction.
When buring the svcd in your favourite burning app, ensure you choose SVCD and not data cd.
SVCD can be burned to about 815-820mb
