    Audio Prob AVI to mpeg

I have another problem i hope the experts here can help me with.

I have an AVI that has audio which is fine,
ie its in synch here is some detail from Gspot

    Audio Details;
    ac3 (0x2000) Dolby Laboratories, Inc
    192 kb/s (96/ch, stereo) CBR
    48000 Hz

    Video Details
    div3 DivX 3 Low-Motion
    1529 kb/s
    23.976 fps
    0.312 bits/pixel

My problem is that when i convert the avi to mpeg with Tmpgenc the audio goes several seconds out of synch and i have no idea why.

This happens if i use the avi for video and sound or if i strip out the sound as a wav and try and use that.

This one is beyond me, any suggestions or pointers greatly recieved.

    thanks

The first thing you have to find out is if the audio gap is constant > the gap is even in the beginning as in the end, or that the gap is bigger at the end of the movie then at the beggining. If it's the first one, you just can fill in the difference by adjusting the audio gap correct in the source range menu (TMPGenc) GL

Yes, the Gap appears to be uniform at approx 3 seconds throughout the file.

I will give your suggestion a go.
      Many thanks
