    DVD to MPG conversion

After I've ripped the .ifo and .vob files to hard drive, is there any way to encode more than 1 movie or video file at the same time as one mpg file or do I need to do each one separately and join the two later?

    Hi Miller,

I'm assuming you mean that after you rip your DVD, you have mulitple .vob files that consist of one big movie. Well, what you do is download DVD2AVI and use that to save a .d2v file. Now load the .d2v file into your MPG encoder program (such as TMPGEnc). The encoder program would know that this program points to all those .vob files so it will encode the .mpg using the entire movie.

There's guides on this site (as well as doom9.org, vcdhelp.com, among many others) about how to do this. Search around and you're bound to find something that fits with what you're looking for.
