    vcd audio

    hi all
    i hope you are well.
    i have a vcd of a old vhs tape transfered to vcd with the tape hiss.
    how can i extract the audio and convert it to wav ?
    so i can use cool edit to fix the hiss. then convert it back to vcd type audio?

    Use TMPGEnc to demultiplex the audio. Once that is done, use an external program of your choice to convert it to .wav

      (CoolEdit may have the same capability)

      If you use GoldWave, simply open GoldWave and "drag&drop" the MPEG file onto its primary window.

      GoldWave will automatically extract the audiostream.

      You can then use its filter(s) to eliminate the hiss.

      You can then save the audiostream as an Uncompressed PCM (.WAV) audiostream...
