How do I play SCVD?

How do I play an SVCD on my computer? I try to open it with Windows Media Player, but all I get is a blank screen, but the complete sound. It won't even open with DivX. I don't know what other program to try or what sort of encoding or what-not. I'm technologically challenged.

Use a software DVD player, such as WinDVD or PowerDVD...
