    MP42 codec

Ok, i've been recording movies by encoding them into mpegs, but for some reason, I have a movie file with a MP42 codec. And my program TMPGEnc won't open it, it says file unsupported or something, I don't know, but can anyone tell me how I can convert this into the right movie file so I can record it? I don't know of any encoding programs except TMPGEnc. Thanks.

Try changing the fourcc code to divx or div3

              Dear Savai 52

              dear Savai52,

I am in the same situation like you. I have tried Adobe Premier 6.5 and found it worked. But it will take you 2 days to convert 650 MB.
(my computer is Pentium III 800 Mhz).

If you have any program that can convert your film more easily and quickly, please let me know.

              Thank you

              Tung
