need info on how to fix bad frames

I am getting angry!!! i don't seem to have no problems encoding the video, but never seem to find a way to fix bad frames that cause audio/video to go out of sync. any answers on what I could do to indentify the bad frames and either fix them or delete them?

If the original file is an .AVI (DivX-compressed or other) try the following:

    1) Load the .AVI into the most recent version of VirtualDubMOD (Different than VirtualDub)

    2) Set "Video" to "Direct Stream Copy"

    3) Select "Check for errors"

    4) Select "Mask bad frames"

    5) Save with a new filename
