I am trying to split a movie in half using tmpgenc plus. i get to the point where i use the slide bar to show where to cut the movie, but the slide bar won't move, and when i hit cancel, i get an error message and booted out of the program, what am i doing wrong. my version of tmpgenc is a registered version.

(I'm assuming the original file is an .AVI)
1) Load the ORIGINAL .AVI file into VirtualDub (or one of its many variants) or NanDub
2) From the "File" dropdown menu, select "File Information"
3) Post (here) EVERYTHING you see (BOTH video and audio information), or post a screen capture .jpg of the information box
