So I have a big encoding problem...

I use Virtual Dub to open the movie file , I extarct the audio to wav format , add the the ssa file and start a FRAME SERVING.
When I open tmpenc plus, I sekect the VDR file and add the wav file I made before BUT when I Press the the START, I got a black screen, anf the Tmpgenc plus is NOT RESPONDING.

    can someone please help me

not sure what it is ... but i recommend trying to save the avi first,
and then use that as a source for tmpeg.......

it is hard to do a diagnosis... having so many steps in one "tasK"

"I want to encode a DIVX/Xvid movie to vcd with subs"

It's either a DivX-compressed .AVI or an XviD-compressed .AVI. They are two different things.

Based on what you've described, I'm guessing the file is an XviD-compressed .AVI. In order for TMPGEnc to handle it preoperly make sure you have installed BOTH an XviD codec (again, different than DivX) and the FFDShow filter...
