Encoding with 5.1 surround...?

Like the title says....I was wondering how I might go about encoding a vcd with a 5.1 audio set up...I understand that its a matter of how the movie file was first encoded, but there must have been some filter made to encode to 5.1...

I know of ac3 matrix mixer, but thats only for your speakers...

ideas?

seems like it cant be done for vcd...

yup vcd = stereo only.

u may try mini dvd but....... 10 - 15 min of video.
not all dvd players support it.
