The question is a little broad. What exactly do you need another tool for? Why is DVD2SVCD not good enough for you?

In clear, what do you want?
"on the north side of 'wild-cat peak' the 'snow squaws' shake their winter blankets and bring forth a chill which rides the wind with goad and spur, hurling with an icy hand rime, and frost upon a dreamy land musing in the lap of Spring"

basically, i just want something i can buy. And possibly something that could also do dvd to avi as well, or a separate software. Thanks.

If you want something you can buy, I am buying my car. Interested

I am not asking you if you want free/not free software. I am asking you what do you want this software to do for you. DVD->SVCD? SVCD->DVD? VCD->SVCD? AVI->ASF? Coffe->Milk? Lead->Gold?

You are saying you want an equivalent of DVD2SVCD. Why don't you use DVD2SVCD then? What limitation in DVD2SVCD makes you look for something else?

As I said (You should read posts you reply to ), basically, what do you want?

You cannot jump to a forum and ask "What software can I buy?", right? However, you can ask "What software can I buy to convert a PAL XviD/MP3 movie to a NTSC/SVCD and add my own subs?". In the former question, you specify what the software you are looking for is supposed to do, and people may give you pointers according to that.

I would like it to do DVD to SVCD and DVD TO AVI.....and Lead to Gold would be nice too.

Well, no, I don't know any other tool that does the job. That is maybe because there is (almost) nothing to do.

To do DVD->SVCD, you basically need SmartRipper, DVD2AVI and TMPGEnc (You can pay for that if you want). Of course, you also need a VCD-capable burning program, I use Nero.

To do DVD->AVI, you need SmartRipper, DVD2AVI and VirtualDub.

Nothing is really complex in these procedures, so I guess there is not so much added value in a "All In One" tool:

                1. Rip
                2. Make your DVD2AVI project
                3. Resize
                4. Encode
                (5 - optional). Burn

That's it. And of course, you didn't answer to my main question: Why do you want another tool than DVD2SVCD? Doesn't it do exactly that?

I just found out about "Magic DVD Ripper 1.1", which is supposed to do the DVD -> (S)VCD transform. I haven't tried it tho... You might want to have a look at it.
