please help a moron

ok i am an idiot when it comes to this stuff. i just want to copy some of my video from my mini dv camera and burn them to a svcd and also email some small videos. i'm using ulead video studio and i've tried a few other programs but i always have the same problem, they are just too complicated and have too many damn options, i try to read the help file but it just puts me to sleep, i don't need all these options, i'm not a bloody movie maker. ok i'll calm down now. it's just so frustrating. I've tried every setting and spent hours and they always end up being like 5 million GB or just look like garbage. I see video on the web all the time that is a resonable size and looks great. is there a program that is just point and click or am i kidding myself?

DIY video for free (or cheap) is still something that has a pretty steep learning curve, hence these forums. I can help you over your problem, but you will need to deal with programs that are not "Point And Click". Let me know if you are interested

use video studio its pretty easy and good, only tabs ull use are capture, maybe edit and produce.

while capturing choose mpeg2 that will make sure ull get a smaller but good quality mpeg2 file in the end instead of huge dv-avi file. if u still want to go lesser in size try mpeg1.

or simple
vcd = 1150 kbps mpeg1 file
svcd = 2500 kbps mpeg2 file decent quality
dvd= 4000 to 6000 kbps good quality
