    Codec for .m2v files?

Hi everyone! I'm currently having problems viewing .m2v files. The file that I've downloaded ends up being a WinAmp file, but after playing it with WinAmp and Window Media Player Series 9, all I get is sound and NO picture. My DivX player couldn't even open the file! So, where can I get a stable codec for .m2v files for the "computer inept"? hehe..... Thanks!

p.s. I also have ffdshow, and I don't know why I have that!

You'll need to install a software DVD player, such as PowerDVD, to have the right codec installed.

That is interesting since (according to the file extension) your file contains a MPEG-2 video and no audio.

    That's good. Don't touch it.
