best settings in TMPGE for SVCD.......setarip????lol

Hi, I'd like to convert a movie using TMPGE into SVCD.
I'd like to know what the ideal settings would be to get the best of quality. I'm under the ntsc system.............what would the ideal settings be to show using my dvd player on my home T.V.........I have a 4:3 display T.V. and it's an older model meaning no high definition............should I use interlace or non interlace??
Would setting the audio at 384 in TMPGE screw things up?
I do extract the audio using VirtualdubMod.
    Help please

Go here and find your player in the list. It will tell you what the max bitrates your player can handle. Then you can make XSVCDs that are tailored to your player and get the best quality possible out of it.
