Vcd not working on vcd player

HI guyz... I have just convert dvd to vcd and I have burned it to a cd ... but when I was trying to burn it with nero.. it said that my mpeg file is not in the right code or something.. then I just turn off the standard for vcd.. then I've got my CD burned. THen I played it on the PC.. it worked properly, but when I try to play it on a vcd player.. it doesn't work at all... can someone help me with my problem here... ???

some dvd players do not like cd-r media, try vivastar they worked 4 me when my dvd player did the same

if nero said it was not right then the format is wrong..it needs to be within vcd specifications before putting it into nero.your pc played it cause its just an mpeg but a vcd is a "special" mpeg
