VBR audio on DivX to VCD

Im am trying to encode a DivX movie with TMPGEnc, and it seems it has VBR in audio... Normally it takes me 6-10 hours to encode a movie, for this one it's about 24... As I write it is running, but has anyone experienced the same thing?
At the moment TMPGEnc says its 20% done but it's half way into the movie. Does that mean that it will first encode video, and after that the sound?
Please answer my quistions if you can!

I tell you what? It was not true... After waiting 24 hours for the file to finish, I ended up with a GIGANTIC mpg file, with no sound and the last frame frozen for 1½ hour of movie in the end...
