    mpeg to big to fit on cdr

    can someone please help me, i have avi films on my hard drive
    which i converted to mpeg using tmpgenc but it made the mpeg size to over 1GBwhich i cant fit onto cdr, can someone please tell me how to srink the file to fit, or please tell me how to do it another way

    When setting the options in TMPGenc, make sure the output file size is ~800mb - that much will fit on 1 cd-r.

      With TMPGENc's "Project Wizard" dialog box, select either the Video CD (NTSC or PAL) or Super Video CD (NTSC or PAL). With a 700 mg CDr you should be able to fit 60 minutes of video on the disk-with SVCD it will be less. You may have to lower the bitrate in order to get 1 gig down to slightly below 700 mg. Doing this will compromise the quality of the video.

        Thanks for the responce guys but i still cant do it when i put the output file size to 800mb it says the file you are converting will be to big to fit on a disk,

        and lowering the bit rate to as low as it will go it still isnt fitting,
        am i just stupid or am i doing something wrong
