avi to SVCD

Hi

I am a bit new to this and i was just wondring how long it should take to convert a roughly 700 MB .avi to mpeg-2 for SVCD. I have an AMD Duron 800mhz with 128 mb of ram. I started u sing tmgenc plus 2.5 or whatever and it said over 20 hours.

That does seem a bit long, although your machine is not extremely powerful. (800mhz, 128 Mg ram). Is an AMD Duron equivalent to a Pentium 3?
