    Why my mpeg 2 is jumpy

    Hi everybody,

    I really need help.......I can make svcd mpeg2 with TMPGEnc but the picture are a little bit jumpy.....and sometimes stop and play again....

    I make this encoding for 2cd so at the bitrate 2000 kb/s and the quality is quite good....

    My source is a divx and quite perfect quality before encoding in mpeg2.....

    TKS for any advice and help

    Try lowering the bitrate to 1150 and set "Motion Search Precision" to "Highest Quality (Very Slow)".

    Let us know of your success ;>}

        Have you checked the PAL/NTSC format settings... ie your not trying to encode a PAL 25fps to an NTSC 29fps???? or vice versa??? I believe this is meant to effect the image in the same way as you explained if converted wrong
