Subtitles being cut off at the bottom of tv

    Hello..
I have converted divx/xvid/avi files with subititles to vcd using tmpgenc with out any encountering any problem.

I burned the mpeg files to VCD using nero.

I tried playing the vcd i made on my pc and it plays perfectly as expected.

The problem is when i try to play it on a regular tv, the subtitles are being cut off in the bottom. Only half or one-fourth of the subititles are being seen when played on tv. This does not happen though if i play it using my pc.

Any ideas on how to get around this situation?

I have tried both ntsc and pal setting but it still the same.

    Thanks in advance.

In TMPGenc, when encoding, choose "Full Screen (Keep Aspect Ratio) when changing the aspect ratio.

If you're doing a widescreen encode however, then select 16:9 format.
