    Downloaded SVCD won't play

I downloaded an SVCD off the net.. It was already in ISO format so I went ahead and burned the image with Nero. Once it was burned, I tried playing it back and it wouldn't play.

There are 3 folders... and i have listed the files

    EXT
    - SCANDATA.DAT

    MPEG2
    - MOVIEFILE.MPG

    SVCD
    - ENTRIES.SVD
    - INFO.SVD
    - LOT.SVD
    - PSD.SVD
    - SEARCH.SVD
    - TRACKS.SVD

Just to see if it would work.. I tried playing back the MPG file but it says that it cannot load. It takes several minutes just to load and tell me that it will not load.

    Any suggestions??

    "Any suggestions??"

Sometimes you get what you pay for. It's probably a phony file...

First, download PowerDVD for your OS, install, then open up the SVCD in there and see if it plays.

On the contrary, most SVCD's are actually real, it is the .avi's that are mostly fake.

Let us know how it goes.
