i have a mpeg 2 movie and ms media player can't play it:
"formay not supported".i've d/l a mpeg2 codec...and still..nothing
what can i do?!plz...

Hi CasPR, you could ty another media player such as Win DVD or Power DVD and see if they will play it.

i installed it if that what you mean..
i tried to plat it on microdvd..and same problem..

what can i do?

Did you make this mpeg2 or did you download it? USUALLY from my experience (which isn't much) if windvd or powerdvd cannot open it, it is just about screwed. There is an mpeg2 plugin for TMPGEnc, and i can send it to you or give you a link (which is at home, don't remember it here at work). But i say anything is worth a shot.

Just curious - how did you determine that the file is in MPEG2 format?
