    MPEG Resizing

    Are there any ways to resize an MPEG2 file without buying an expensive editor?

    I have split my SVCD into a file size that is too large for a CD. I need to merge the two resulting files and then recut them into smaller sizes. I've used TMPG's Merge and Cut utils, but the audio gets out of synch.

    Do I have to demux and then remux them?

    Thanks,
    Joe

    Try using TMPGEnc again, as follows:

    1) Load the file under "Merge&Cut"
    2) Set the mode to "MPEG2", rather than "MPEG2-SuperVideoCD"
    3) Save the file with a new filename
    4) (Cautionary) Exit TMPGEnc and then restart it
    5) Load the new file under "Merge&Cut"
    6) Set the mode to "MPEG2-SuperVideoCD"
    7) perform your cutting and saving

    Let us know of your success ;>}

      I tried this out and wound up with an audio-only file. No video! I'll keep trying...
